MICHAEL DAWSON BACKS POCHETTINO

Mauricio Pochettino is realizing that at every point in time, your current result is all that matters and even if what you’ve achieved the previous day is more impressive than Elon Musk’s continuous attempt to place a man on the moon, inability to replicate it the very next day is enough to see people call for your head.

The Argentine coach led Spurs to last season’s Champions League final where they lost to a more experienced Liverpool team and yet the slow start to this season’s Premier League campaign has seen people question his importance to the club.

DON’T DWELL ON IT

Mauricio Pochettino doesn’t want his boys to bother themselves too much about the Premiership game yesterday which didn’t go according to the plan for the Spurs.

While that was a big game, there is an even bigger one coming up next as they are going to lock horns with the visiting Ajax in the first leg of the Round of 4 of the European Cup in a couple of days’ time. That is supposed to be the biggest match that the club will play in about five decades and Pochettino wants his boys in the right frame of mind ahead of that mega clash.

Spurs To Resist Kane Exit

Tottenham Hotspur, who have sold Gareth Bale and Luka Modric to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the past, are insistent on keeping their star striker Harry Kane. Real Madrid are rumoured to be interested in the prolific goalscorer.

Madrid are set for an overhaul this summer after struggling in the league this term and with an uncertain future in Europe. Kane, who has won back to back Premier League Golden Boot, could significantly boost the club’s goalscoring chances next season.
